May 2026 marks the first anniversary for Thrive Homecare. Founded in 2025, we’ve built our approach around relationship-centred support, companionship and wellbeing, helping people stay connected, independent and fulfilled at home through meaningful relationships and personalised support.

To celebrate the milestone, every person we support and every colleague received a specially made birthday cupcake featuring our much loved mascot, Tiki the toucan.

The celebrations reflect what has been at the heart of Thrive since day one: valuing colleagues, building genuine relationships and making sure support feels personal, consistent and full of human connection.

The milestone follows recent recognition for Co-founder and CEO Chris Gage, who received a Revival Community Award in recognition of Thrive’s contribution to community wellbeing and support across Canterbury and the surrounding areas.

Chris said:

“Reaching our first birthday feels incredibly meaningful. Thrive was created to do things differently, to build real relationships, focus on wellbeing as much as support, and help people truly thrive at home. This milestone belongs to every person we support, every family we work alongside and every colleague who brings that approach to life every day.”

To mark the occasion, we’re also launching a limited time offer giving new clients 25% off their first month of support. Families can access the offer using the code THRIVEIS1 from May 2026 until 31 August 2026. The offer is designed to make it easier for families to take that first step, whether that means a little companionship each week or more comprehensive care & support at home.

Over the past year, we’ve continued to grow across Canterbury, Ashford and surrounding areas, expanding our multidisciplinary team while maintaining a strong focus on continuity, connection and wellbeing.

“What makes me proud to be part of Thrive is that they value each person and empower us to provide support tailored to every individual. This is a company that truly cares and pays attention to the small details that make the biggest difference.”
